Our Last Tag Rugby Free Taster Session

Here at Tag Team Rugby we want everyone to get a free taster session so you can see how it’s the perfect sport to keep fit and socialise while you do it. We want to create the best events for everyone, and in order to do that we need as many people as possible.

We know it’s a big commitment to get a team together every week, especially when it’s raining or the pub is calling. So we are offering a free taster session to anyone who wants to join us to play the latest sports craze and try it out before committing to our league.

We are delighted to announce our first free taster session will be May 3rd, and we expect demand to be high so register your interest now. This will take place in our Stevenage location and you can register here.

Due to high demand we are running 4 sessions:

3:45pm to 4:15pm – 4-5 Year Olds

4:30pm to 5pm – 6-7 Year Olds

5:15pm to 5:45pm – 8-10 Year Olds

6pm to 6:30pm – Adults

What happens on the free taster session?

We will need everyone to arrive in good time, at least 30 minutes before the start to allow for delays, changing and bonding with new team mates. On arrival please ensure you report to one of our friendly organisers who will be wearing a Tag Team Rugby T-Shirt. They will ensure you have everything you need, and provide shorts. Please ensure you wear full sports gear, including trainers and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. It is a sport which involves running, so a level of fitness will be required.

Once everyone arrives we will introduce the game, basic rules and points scoring, followed by an opportunity to practice without any game pressure. Here you can ask any question you like, our aim is to teach you the game we love.

We’ll then divide the people in attendance up to run some short games. To complete the free taster session we’ll invite everyone to a local pub to make the most of the social aspect of tag rugby and make some new friends.

Can we have our own private session?

Yes, if you have a group of ten or more and you can’t attend our pre-arranged session, we can happily join you at a mutually agreeable location to show your new team the game ready for one of our exciting leagues. Simply email us at

Do I need a taster session?

Not at all, we offer these for those people unsure of what the game is about. If you want to get involved straight away, then simply head to our register page.
